o  All rentals include insurance (subject to excess) unless by prior arrangement

o  All rentals are inclusive of vehicle breakdown cover and recovery back to Shalfleet Garage Only

o  Included is a 175 mile allowance per day after which a mileage charge of 12p per mile will apply

o  Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) may be available. The charge per day for cars is £10.99 to reduce excess from £750 to £250 and £12.99 per day for vans to reduce the excess from £1000 to £450 and at £15.00 per day for minibuses to reduce the excess from £1000 to £500. This does not include glass, tyres and wheels.

o  Van and Minibus Rentals are subject to an overhead roof damage excess of £1000

o  Additional Drivers are acceptable (maximum of 3) at an additional cost of £5.00 per day each.

o  Child/booster seats available on request and subject to availability

o  Our standard rental period of 24 hours commences at 08.00, renters wishing to operate outside of these hours will incur further charges unless by prior arrangement and all hires are subject to availability at the time.

All hires are subject to refundable deposits depending upon the type of vehicle hired, the type of driving licence and the payment method

o Minimum age is 23, (this may vary on some makes and models), maximum age is 75 for car hire and 70 for vans and minibuses. Persons over this age will normally be accepted but must be referred to our insurance Company for confirmation and this may take a couple of days. Some non-UK licences and drivers under 25 may have higher insurance excesses applied. Minibus (17 Seats) hirers must be 25-70 and held a licence for a minimum of 5 years also have category D1 or equivalent on their licence.  PHOTOCARD  licences must be produced also be aware that the photocard expires after 10 years and if expired we cannot hire. If required we can contact he DVLA for verification (two other forms of ID required) for which there is a £10.00 charge. We cannot hire to persons who have held a full UK driving licence for less than 12 months, or 24 months for any driver under 25 years of age.

o Non-UK Licence Holders Rules – non-uk licence holders are acceptable at our discretion and in conjuction with our insurance company rules, subject to such persons being aged over 25 years and having held a full licence for a minimum of 2 years.  An additional £400 excess will be applied in addition to any other terms imposed.   We must be able to read and understand the licence presented and establish it is valid. We can not accept an International Drivers Permit on it’s own without the Driving Licence under any circumstances. European Licences with the EU symbol are fine without an International licence. International Driving Permits  are intended for the purpose of translation. The onus is on the Renter to provide a translation to confirm all our Insurance Risk questions.

o Portable Satellite Navigation units available – please ask for details.

o Additional charges will apply in respect of: damage/loss of wheel trims, tyres, mirrors, aerials, radios, radio covers, badges, parcel shelves & similar detachable items, damage to interior such as stains & burns, lost or damaged keys & all costs incurred as a result, failure to maintain oil, fluid levels & tyre pressures in accordance with vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations, damage caused by the use of the wrong fuel, call out costs following negligent use or care of the vehicle and all glass.

o  All our vehicles are non-smoking and a valeting charge will apply if appropriate.

o  In the event of an accident or breakdown, Primedrive Car & Van Rental are not responsible for onward travel or overnight accomodation. Breakdowns occur very infrequently and Primedrive Car and Van Rental will not be held liable for any further cost involved in seeking a replacement vehicle or loss/damage to goods in transit.
